Men's Soccer Begin Championship Quest at Arizona Western in First Round of Playoffs

The Chandler-Gilbert Community College Men's Soccer team begins its quest for the NJCAA Region I Championship today at Arizona Western as the #6 seed Coyotes are at #6 seed Matadors. The Coyotes enter the playoff picture with a 10-9-1 record and 44 goals scored for the season, good for 5th in the conference in that category.

The Coyotes are lead by goalkeeper Justin Zimmerman who has a .845 save percentage and Beto Vidana who had 10 goals scored for the season.

Chandler-Gilbert split the season series with Arizona Western with each team winning on their own pitch.  Today marks the fourth straight season the Coyotes have qualified for the playoffs, and third straight for third year head coach, Rich Esperti.

"The coaching staff is excited about getting into the playoffs for the fourth straight year," Coach Esperti said.  "The team is ready for the next challenge for the conference championship."
