Men's Basketball Returns to ACCAC Play with Weekend Split

YUMA, AZ - The Chandler-Gilbert Men's Basketball Team return to ACCAC action after earning themselves a split at the Arizona Western College Thanksgiving Classic over the weekend.

The Coyotes lost their first game 85-91 in overtime to the College of Southern Idaho.  Leading the way for the Coyotes were Kendrick Williams (So. Guard) with 17 points and seven rebounds.  Joe Abiakam and Ilisia Washington both chipped in with 11 points. As a team, they shot 40% from the field and 70% from the line.

In the second day, the Coyotes beat New Mexico Military Institute in a slugfest 65-63.  Zane Jowaiszas led the Coyotes with 15 points, five rebounds, and shot 5-7 from the field. Coming off the bench, DJ Tate added 13 points while Qujuan Steward had 10.

Next up for Chandler-Gilbert is a road test versus Glendale Community College.  The game is scheduled for Wednesday evening, tipping off at 7:30 p.m.
