Men’s Basketball Look to Return to the Playoffs With New Faces

The Chandler-Gilbert Community College Men's Basketball program tips off tonight as they open up their 2018-2019 campaign against Luke Air Force Base. Tipoff is schedule for 7:00PM at the Coyote Center on the campus of Chandler-Gilbert.

Returning for the Coyotes are Joe Abaikam, Zane Jowaiszas, and Pat O'Herron. All poised to position the team at the top of the ACCAC standings at year's end. Having lost majority of their scoring, there will be plenty of points available for this year's Coyotes to chase.

Key newcomers to the team are Kendrick Williams, Blake Williams, and Jimmy Brown. K. .Williams, who is coming back from a redshirt year, averaged 14 points, 5 assists, and shot 46% from the field in his true freshman season. B. Williams is coming to CGCC from Perry High School and Brown coming from Highland High School.

"We have many new faces on this year's team," says head coach Steve Silsby. "So we are going to be a work-in-progress for a while. If we keep working hard and stay committed together, I believe we can have a successful season."
