Baseball Wins Three In A Row, Five Out Of Seven

The Chandler-Gilbert Baseball team hit spring break hard and kept swinging away.  Over the course of the last 10 days, the Coyotes played seven games and won five, having scored 40 runs over that stretch.  Leading the way for the Boys of Spring has been Tristan Peters (CF) with 11 hits and scored seven runs.

In last night's win over Colorado State, sophomore Andrew Hayes (.385 avg on the season) belted a 2-run homerun, the second of the season, and sophomore Justin Vaught earned his first save with the 7-4 decision.

"The kids are getting better," says head coach Russell Luce.  "It's fun right now."

Next up for the Coyotes is a pair of home and home competitions, beginning with Paradise Valley (17-10-1) Tuesday and Wednesday, then Central Arizona (22-9) on Friday and Saturday.
