Mesa Splits Pair with Chandler-Gilbert, 6-4 (W), 8-6 (L) Finals

Chandler, AZ - Mesa baseball split an away double-header with the Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes Tuesday afternoon, with Mesa winning game one, 6-4, and Chandler-Gilbert winning game two 8-6.

Erik Dulittle threw a complete game, seven inning gem, as he recorded his third win on the season in game one.  Dean Bittner homer with Lucas Danielwicz coming up with a big two-run single to help the T-Birds get the win.

Game two saw good pitching from Kelton Lachelt but a rough seventh inning saw Mesa's lead slip away for good.  Connor Culp hit a homerun while Danielwicz went 2-4 with two RBI's and a double, Dean Bittner went 2-3 with two stolen bases and Diego Altamirano coming up with an RBI double.

Mesa moves to 18-16 overall and 12-14 in conference.  Mesa and Chandler-Gilbert will be right back in action this Thursday night for a 6 pm first pitch start.
