The Scottsdale Community College Women's Basketball team is playing at a very high level right now with their conference win over Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Scottsdale came into the game going back and forth with CGCC holding onto a narrow 18-15 1st quarter lead. SCC blitzed the Coyotes in the 2nd quarter and went into halftime with a 38-25 lead. The Artichokes and Coyotes traded baskets for most of the second half, which was enough for Scottsdale to secure the 74-63 win. SCC was led by Monique Shim who finished the game with 24 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. Malia Ukestine was big going for 16 points and grabbing 5 rebounds, while Faith Diggs chipped in 10 points and dished out 9 assists. This win moves Scottsdale to (9-5, 4-4) on the season with a big match-up this Saturday coming up when they host Central Arizona College at 4:00 PM.
