Yotes Win in 14 Innings

Yotes Win in 14 Innings

Phoenix, Arizona-- There is a well known maxim, "what is delayed is not denied" and although the final result was delayed more than anticipated, the result the Coyote baseball team was looking for was not to be denied. After losing to Phoenix College 10-1 on Friday night, the two teams faced off again for the second time in as many days and this time the game went on for 14 innings before the Yotes were able to come away with the 9-8 victory.

The Coyotes scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th inning to tie the game at 8 and then both teams went scoreless until the top of the 14th when the Coyotes were able to get one more run on the board. Adam Paniagua hit a home run for CGCC and drove in two runs. The Coyote baseball program now has a record of 20-25.
