Women's Soccer Comes up Just Short in Playoffs

Phoenix, AZ-- The upset minded Coyote Women's Soccer team went in to the ACCAC playoffs Wednesday night with the daunting task of taking on the number two ranked team in the entire nation, the Phoenix College Bears. Earlier in the season, the Bears demolished the Coyotes 6-0 at Chandler Gilbert. Now, the Coyotes would have to play the Bears on Phoenix Colleges home turf.

The game was a back and forth defensive battle, as the Coyotes played tough and played together for nearly 90 full minutes. In a game that couldve went either way, the Coyotes eventually lost 1-0 after a late first half goal from Phoenix College. Tatum Lally was incredible defensively in goal for the Coyotes racking up nine saves. The Coyote Women's Soccer season is over but they have nothing to be ashamed of in new Head Coach Scott Smith's first season in charge. A winning record and a playoff birth are great accomplishents in year one.
