Injury Riddled Women's Hoop Team Loses Close Game to Ottawa

Chandler, Arizona-- In a rare university versus community college matchup, the CGCC Coyotes Women's basketball team hosted Ottawa University on Wednesday night. In what was a close game for nearly the entire 40 minutes, the Coyotes ended up dropping the contest 64-55. Despite multiple chances to tie the game late and a potential game tying three pointer that was waived off by the officials, the Coyotes were not able to get over the hump after trailing the whole game. The Coyotes competed the entire game and would have loved to have a full and healthy roster. However, missing 10 free throws and losing by nine points will not win games for the young squad, healthy or not.

Sam Sibbet lead the Coyotes in scoring with 16 points, Aliyah Blackhat contributed mightily with 13 points.

The Coyotes play again November 9th at home against Park University at 5:30 PM.
