Chandler, AZ-- Coyote Volleyball hosted a non-conference Tri Match on Saturday with conference opponents in what turned out to be a succesful day for the team. The volleyball team hosted Pima College and Mesa Community College at the Coyote Center and came away victorious in both matches. In the morning, they defeated Pima in straight sets (25-12, 15-13, 25-16). Kennedy Dastrup lead the way with 10 kills and Milan Mendoza was excellent defensively with 11 digs.
In the afternoon, the volleyball team defeated MCC 3-1 despite losing the first set (20-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-18). Mikaela Esparza was special defensively with an incredible 27 digs and Talli Copple was sensational putting away 16 kills. The Yotes record moves to 7-8 and they are currently ranked #15 in the entire country.
