Chandler, AZ-- The Men's Basketball teams 127-53 win on Tuesday night over the Ottawa University Reserve Squad was the 100th victory for Steve Silsby as Head Coach of the Coyotes. Silsby, in his eighth season at the helm has turned the program around and has made the team a perenial contender for the ACCAC title year in and year out. Coach Silsby understands his team competes in an incredibly competetive conference where wins are hard to come by and he hopes his impact as a coach goes way beyond wins and losses. Silsby said, "I know the real victories come in the form of seeing my guys move on and accomplish their own dreams and goals in life."
The game was a blowout in favor of the Coyotes which included all but one player getting in the scoring column. Nik Atanasovs lead all scorers with 17 points and Qujuan Stewart came off the bench to contribute 15 points including three 3-pointers. Kingdom Artis paced the Yotes with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
The Coyotes next game is Tuesday night (11/8) against the Arizona Christian University JV team. The game tips off at 7 PM.
