Chandler, AZ-- A few days after Priscilla Hale and Alyssa Figueroa were named ACCAC Players of the Week, the CGCC Softball team concluded their regular season with two wins over Scottsdale Community College. The team honored their sophomores during their final home game of their Coyote careers as well. Alyssa Figueroa, Kylie Hegland, Ahjaida Solomon and Jolee Benson were all recognized for their tremendous Coyote careers.
Game 1 of the doubleheader was a defensive battle as the Yotes came away with the 2-1 victory. Game 2 saw a lot more action at the plate as the Yotes won again, 8-7. Jolee Benson, Grace Tinsdale, Lindi Langston and Alina Arjon all had RBI in the winning effort. The Coyotes completed a season sweep of the Scottsdale Artichokes going 4 for 4 on the year. The Coyote Softball team finished the regular season with a record of 25-19.
Coyote softball now waits to see what seed they will get in the Region 1 Semi-Final series next week with hopes of eventually heading to the NJCAA Softball World Series!
