Softball Team Ready For Season

Chandler, AZ-- The CGCC Coyote Softball team was a few innings away from being Region 1 Champs last season, they fell to the eventual National Champion Phoenix College but showed that their program has the potential to play with the best in the country. This season, Head Coach Bry Norris is looking to not show the flashes of potential but to prove to everyone that their team does in fact have what it takes to win the whole thing. Bry Norris said, "We have a strong roster with a diverse mix of talented freshman, transfer students and returning sophomores who have been strong leaders so far. We have a committed staff who really care about the players on and off the field and I'm optimistic about how this season will go for us."

This season, the Coyotes will open up their season in Las Vegas at the College of Southern Nevada's tournament. They will be taking on perenially top ranked teams such as College of Southern Idaho and Salt Lake City Community College. The team understands that facing strong compeition will only make them a better team come conference play. They are also looking forward to bonding off the field as team chemistry will be an important piece of the puzzle if they want to make a long postseason run.

The Coyotes first home game is Saturday February 11th against Paradise Valley Community College at 12 PM.
