Chandler, AZ-- The Coyote softball team, winners of three games in a row, hosted the visiting Arizona Western College Matadors on Saturday afternoon and split in the doubleheader. The Yotes won the first game 7-6 behind a homerun and three RBI from Alina Arjon. Ahjaida Solomon was strong on the mound in the complete game effort as well. Unfortauntely the Yotes lost the second game of the afternoon 10-8.
Their record stands at 11-10, one game above .500 and they are firmly in the playoff hunt early in the season. The team is on the road for their next four games before returning home on April 2nd to play the first place Phoenix College Bears. Go Yotes!
