Men Stay Undefeated, Women at .500

Chandler, AZ-- Thursday night both CGCC Coyote Basketball teams took the floor as they hosted two different respective opponents. The Women played the first game of the evening facing off with SAGU American Indian College. They won easily, 76-60, behind 19 points from Sam Sibbet. Tianna McKinley provided strong minutes off the bench with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Kambry Perry got her first start of the season and chipped in 6 points and 6 rebounds. The record of the Women's basketball team is 6-6.

The Men's team followed up that game with a 96-56 blowout over the Luke Air Force Base team. Another balanced scoring attack for the Coyotes proved to be the key to their success lead by 17 points from Slick Nik "The Ruler" Atanasovs. Kyree Jackson came off the bench with 13 points including going 3 for 3 from 3-point land.

On Saturday the 31st, the Men's team traveled down to Tucson, AZ to play Bismark State College, a team from North Dakota. Despite a less than strong shooting performance from the floor, the guys fought hard and won 67-58 over a truly quality opponent. Kenny Haynes lead all scorers 15 points and Kingdom Artis had 12 points and 9 rebounds. The Men's basketball teams remains undefeated at 13-0. 

Both teams resume conference play Wednesday afternoon against Glendale College. Men tip-off at 2 PM and the Women follow that game at 4 PM. Go Yotes!
