Men's Basketball Advances to 17-1

Chandler, AZ-- The Coyote Men's Basketball team advanced to 17-1 on the season after defeating rival Scottsdale Community College on Saturday afternoon. The home team went to the free throw line 48 times throughout the hotly contested matchup and narrowly defeated the visiting Artichokes 92-84 in overtime. Andre Harris, the regining ACCAC Player of the Week lead the team with 23 points in the win. Head Coach Steve Silsby said, "Our guys have a lot of pride and love to compete every night." Coach Silsby's squad only has one loss so far on the season, a road game against highly ranked division 1 opponent Arizona Western College.

The Coyotes were ranked 12th in the nation in the latest poll and will look to keep their momentum rolling when they travel to Pima College on Wednesday for another big game. 

You can see the Yotes in action at home this upcoming Saturday against Glendale Community College at 4 PM. Admission is free at the Coyote Center.
