Chandler, AZ-- The Eastern Arizona College Gila Monster softball and men's and women's basketball teams traveled to the East Valley to play against the Coyote softball and men's and women's basketball teams, and they traveled back to Thatcher happy.

The Eastern Arizona College softball team won both games of the doubleheader 19-6 and 12-3. The Gila Monster Women's Basketball team won 82-51 and the Gila Monster Men's Basketball team narrowly defeated the Coyotes 79-77 in overtime.
