Chandler, AZ-- Coyote Softball came up big with two wins at home over the visiting Gateway Geckos on Tuesday night in what was the final regular season home game of the year. The Coyotes won in game one 8-1 and in game two 8-0. In game one it was a huge 6th inning in which the Yotes batted around and scored 7 runs including RBI triples by Hailey Berry, Paige Salazar and Kaylee Shellenberger. Paige Salazar was also outstanding on the mound pitching a complete game with zero earned runs.
The Softball team will finish out its regular season with doubleheaders on the road at perennial power Phoenix College and at Scottsdale Community College. The Yotes are in the playoff hunt and hope to win out to keep their postseason aspirations alive!
