Coyote Training Staff Celebrates March

Coyote Training Staff Celebrates March

Chandler, AZ-- The month of March is National Athletic Trainer Month and the purpose of this is to help spread awareness regarding the importance of athletic trainers and how valuable they are to athletes all across the country. CGCC needs no extra motivation in identifying how valuable a good athletic training staff is as we have two of the best not only in the state of Arizona, but in the entire country. Chantal King and Lyndsey Gough are the two trainers for the Coyotes and they spend copious amounts of time keeping Coyote student athletes on the field and court.

Russell Luce, Coyote Athletic Director said, "Chantal and Lyndsey really go the extra mile for our student athletes, they are deeply motivated to do what is best for our Coyotes. We are so lucky to have these women that can be great role models of hard work and dedication for all of our student athletes. Plus, they do a tremendous job being organized and handling the rigors of the job. It is not a coincedence that the number of catastrophic injuries we have is so much lower than the nationwide average. It is because of the care they give combined with the work Coach Wagner does in our weight room."

Athletic trainers spend long hours dealing with irritable, young, hurt individuals but these two handle everything with grace and are certainly a big part of the reason six of our seven team sports made the playoffs including three of them being the top seed in the conference in the past calendar year. Games are won, records are broken and the CGCC Coyote athletic teams continue to do big things on the field and court but they wouldn't be able to accomplish such feats without the strong work from our athletic trainers.
