Fort Worth, Texas-- Two members of the CGCC Women's Golf team shot strong rounds on Tuesday afternoon to qualify them each for the NJCAA Southwest Region Tournament later this month. Winners of district play will qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Sophie Coleman, a Cactus Shadows graduate has been putting up strong numbers all season so her National Tournament bid was sealed long ago, but for Olivia Renteria, her future was uncertain. She needed a good round Tuesday to cement herself a spot. The freshman handled the pressure like a seasoned vet and shot an 81 and an 89 to qualify.
