Chandler, Arizona-- The Men's soccer team lost to rival Mesa Community College on Saturday night, 2-1, which now drops their record to 1-2 on the season. Jay Fuentes of CGCC scored first in the game with a late first half goal but the visiting T-Birds responded with an early second half goal to tie the game. About 20 minutes later Mesa sent home another goal and the home Coyotes were never able to respond.

The earlier game of the evening saw the 2-0 Coyote Women's Soccer team advance to 3-0 on the season with a solid two goals to none win over Mesa. CGCC dominated the time of possession and had 13 shots on goal to the T-Birds one shot on goal. However, the goalkeeper for Mesa did a tremendous job and only allowed two goals to be scored. Mia Romero and Mya Mudry got into the scoring column for CGCC and put their team at an undefeated 3-0 and atop the conference.
